Around
eight years ago, I saw henna on a passerby and went on a mad internet search.
The learning curve was steep, culminating in a trip to India in 2004. Henna neatly
combines my love of body art with my passion for design and drawing, and provides
a mutually satisfying experience for the recipient and artist. Every venue I
have hennaed at has been enhanced by the addition of this very ancient art. These
include festivals and fairs, wedding parties, corporate events, wellness events,
film shoots, benefits, and backyard extravaganzas. I am proficient in every style
of henna, from traditional Indian bridal to contemporary designs and placement.
I like what I do and it shows.
"I wanted to make sure
you know how much S. and I appreciated all of your beautiful hard work for the
three days of our wedding weekend. You helped to make our wedding so special,
not only with your splendid mehndi, but also with your friendliness and ability
to put all the guests at ease. EVERYONE told us how great you were. Thank you,
thank you, thank you!"

"Maxx is a rare and unique spirit to meet and realize that you have known always. Beyond her high level of technique and degree of mastery and creativity, Maxx brings her own sense of knowing and grace to her henna artistry. There is no one who will take better care of you...no one who will tend both to design outcome and also to the person before her with the skill and sensitivity Maxx will gift you with."

"Thank you for coming to our Moroccan Day event. Between you, the musicians and the food, I really felt like we were in another place for awhile! You fit in so well with our crazy bunch, I know we'll be seeing you again. Your work is beautiful, and you are so much fun."
