See the stock photos up there? A little cheesy, right? But what important elements these are to continued health and growth. Fresh healthy food, exercise and a supportive community. You may already have these in place. If so, fantastic. If not, preparing to change your lifestyle now is important.
For the former substance user these elements can be critical to continued abstinence.Dropping back into the same routines can be detrimental to the healing effects of Iboga.
For those already on a healing path, consider even the routine of your thoughts. Shake it up a bit.
Having something you believe in is also important. This can be a cause, a diety, a worldview, anything. Be inspired by something which gives meaning to your life and pursue it. Iboga may help bring this into focus, but you must take the action.
With Iboga, the effects tend to continue to unfold in the weeks and months to come.
The first year is generally a year of changes and realizations. What in your life will support this? Are you in any sort of individual or group therapy? Do you have a meditative or reflective practice? Do you have a healthy passion or hobby, like writing, dance, basketball, yoga, painting, music, etc.?
Something that can be both a container for what will arise in you and a way for you to express yourself will be extremely beneficial to your continued growth.
Get the most out of your extraordinary experience. Get these things in place now, before you arrive, so you have something new and positive to come home to.
While Iboga significantly reduces craving for substances, they will still happen at some point, for most. To help combat this, we recommend each individual within thirty days of a session take a provided 'booster' dose.
This booster, in combination with the changes you have made to your home life and routines, will aid in helping you maintain your clean state, should that be your goal.
We are strong proponents of harm reduction and realize Iboga is not a cure, but an addiction interrupter. Some people will go back to substance use. However, healing effects occur on many levels with Iboga. No-one walks away unchanged.
Opiate users, particularly those who have been on suboxone/subutex or methadone, may experience a form of 'residual withdrawals'. Often single symptoms such as sneezing, or mild leg aches, or an occasional chill. The booster helps with this as well, and so can exercise, hot baths and certain supplements like coral calcium, rhodiola rosea and others. We will work with you every step of the way to maximize your comfort.
Something else to keep in mind is that often energy levels are low after a session. These levels slowly return to normal over the course of 1-4 weeks. Expect to be tired initially.

The earth is a rich and wonderful place, and many remedies exist which heal. We will be happy to talk with you about them individually.
